Background / History

General Chen was Qin Meng's direct superior and a longtime protector of the young officer. When Qin Meng was publicly presumed dead, Chen opposed Qin Zhengyu's attempt to finalize Qin Meng and Jing Yi's marriage through the Qin family's private genetic institute. He demanded an impartial military retest before the Qin Family could access Qin Meng's stored genetic material. 9

He took Jing Yi to Gold Star after the wedding, initially treating him with suspicion and deliberately pressuring him to assess his character.
