Flying Soldiers Enter the Battlefield!

The cold wind howled.

A low rumble echoed through the clouds.

In the darkness, unnoticed by anyone below, war machines made of steel and transparent materials glided through the sky like ghosts.

A few Legendary Mages seemed to sense something overhead and looked up, but none could pinpoint the source of the energy fluctuations.

That feeling had not been uncommon lately.

Great Dragon Express couriers passing through sometimes caused similar disturbances.

Everyone else noticed nothing at all.

The Tech Battle Priests flying overhead might as well have been invisible.

But Margaret, who led the formation of Dragon Knight Type-1 Aircraft, grew uneasy every time they passed a magic tower or a major city.

This was the first time the Dragon Knight Type-1 Aircraft had flown beyond the training grounds, and the first time they, as Flight Tech Battle Priests, had entered a battlefield.

She could not help worrying about accidents and all the risks they might face. What if their first major operation ended in failure...

She could hardly bear to imagine it.

After passing another veteran Legendary Mage's magic tower, Margaret took a deep breath.

"Relax, everyone. We're no longer novices who've only just learned to fly. We used to ride Griffins and Giant Eagles through the skies, and they were much harder to control than the Dragon Knight Type-1 Aircraft."

"We just need to do what we did in training, and everything will be fine."

She was far from calm herself, but for her subordinates' sake, she kept reassuring them, reminding them of their achievements and of how many powerful figures' airspace they had already crossed...

The shields and protective barriers kept the outside air at bay, but as they pressed on, she could still tell it was growing colder.

There also seemed to be a faint stench
