At Southshore's dock district, a twin-tailed Gnome commander was arguing fiercely with a tall human knight.
"The dock district needs a runway too. Are you humans planning to haul the planes all the way to Dun Garok by carriage?"
Poppy had discovered that although humans were physically tall, they were still incredibly stupid. They could not even understand such a simple matter.
"There are so many buildings in the dock district. Are we supposed to tear them all down to build a runway?" Roderick understood how delicate aircraft were, but land in the dock district was worth every inch. He could not afford such an enormous relocation cost.
"Aircraft landing gear is only meant for taxiing on runways. If they are transported all the way to Dun Garok, they will fall apart before they get there. As the commander, I refuse such reckless behavior. It will damage our planes!"
Poppy was starting to get angry. She would never allow her beloved aircraft to suffer such torment.
"Besides, when the planes return from Silverpine Forest, they can land directly at Southshore and bring back important supplies along the way. That is much more convenient than shuttling back and forth between Dun Garok and Southshore."
"How about this? We can plan out a road from the dock district to the Western Strand, then build another runway on the coastal hills and put up a simple hangar while we are at it."
"Your planes can be towed directly from the dock district to take off there. The distance is not that far." After weighing the matter, Roderick proposed this compromise.
After measuring the distance on site and surveying the terrain, Poppy finally agreed to Roderick's suggestion.
Fortunately, the Nutshell Crusher's ground crew included several low-ranking Gnome mages, so construction progress would not affect
