"I'm so full. I ate way too much today." Remilia lay sprawled across the inn's large bed, speaking lazily to Kindi on the other bed.

"Yeah. Why does everything at this inn taste so good? Mom clearly told us not to eat too much." Kindi was likewise lying flat and digesting after their feast.

"Probably because after eating potatoes for half a month, anything without potatoes counts as a delicacy."

Remilia counted on her fingers as she recalled the feast they had just had. "There was rye bread, goat cheese, cured herring, roasted lamb, Menethil macaroni..."

"The rye bread didn't smell very good. Their flour must have been from last year."

"The goat cheese was pretty good. It came from Highland goats specially bred by the Dwarves, and it tasted amazing."

"The cured herring was awful—too salty and too dry."

"Their cider was quite good, though. It was richer than the kind in Southshore. Haha."

After listening to Remilia critique the inn's specialties one by one like a true gourmet, Kindi tried to tease her. "So, what do you think of this port city controlled by the Dwarves?"

"The warships are so impressive." Remilia named the thing that had left the deepest impression on her. "There are so many more ships here than in Southshore. Southshore only has shabby little fishing boats. I'd never seen such enormous three-masted warships before."

"There probably aren't many farmers here, either. We didn't see any shops making farm tools on our way here. There were quite a few shops making barrels, patching sails, and repairing ships, though." The seemingly sheltered girl had observed things surprisingly closely.
