Making trouble

Li Ziming wanted to get in touch with Luo, but a good opportunity had yet to present itself. After all, he was posing as Lu Xian now and had no suitable pretext to approach him. Still, Li Ziming was in no hurry. He already knew some of Luo's plans from the manga, and their plans had little overlap. Making contact would be ideal, but failing to do so would hardly matter to him.

Perhaps it was because of Akainu's ruthless methods, perhaps the time simply had not come, or perhaps the Marines had stationed enough forces out of sight. Whatever the reason, this recruitment drive passed without incident.

"The matches start tomorrow. Are you nervous?" Issho asked Li Ziming. After the assembly in the square ended, they had been assigned to the same dormitory.

"What's there to be nervous about?" Lying on his bed, Li Ziming shrugged, completely unconcerned about the coming fights.

"Hahaha! One blind man and one missing an arm, and neither of you is worried? Hahaha! Right, you probably never planned on becoming officers anyway. In your condition, you should just stick to cleaning and odd jobs at the very bottom. At least you won't starve." The mocking voice belonged to another man sharing the dormitory with Li Ziming and Issho.

Li Ziming could not even be bothered to lift his eyelids. The Marines had greatly relaxed their recruitment requirements this
