The night passed without incident. Perhaps no one had yet decided whether to make a move against Li Ziming and Edward. At least Li Ziming had enjoyed a peaceful night.
"This is where we're going to be staying?" Edward stared at the building before them. From time to time, explosions and screams rang out from inside.
Hearing those strange noises, Li Ziming began to wonder whether he had come to the wrong place.
"Come on, let's take a look inside first. Maybe it only looks a little strange?" Li Ziming didn't believe his own words, but since he was here, he might as well settle in. He was already quite pleased that he had managed to infiltrate the Navy.
Once inside, Li Ziming was even more bewildered. Not only was there no one to welcome him as a newcomer, but he could smell the filthy, stale air. Stains had turned the once-white walls yellow, and in some places he could even see blood, both dark red and fresh scarlet.
"Wait, have I been played...?" Li Ziming raised an eyebrow.
"Out of the way!" An old man with a head of white hair as unruly as weeds came running out, as though something were chasing him.
"Huh?" Li Ziming looked utterly baffled, but he still grabbed Edward and hurried aside.
"Don't!" Yet the old man grew even more agitated when Li Ziming moved.
"Hm?" Li Ziming immediately stopped, not daring to move. Around scientists, it was probably best to do as he was told.
"Yes, don't move, don't move..." The old man slowly approached Li Ziming, extending a hand toward him.
"Sir, what are you...?" Li Ziming truly had no idea what the man was trying to do.
"Shut..." The old man seemed about to say something, but then apparently realized
