Showdown

Before long, the day passed, and Li Ziming gained a clear understanding of Si's abilities. He then took Si back.

"You're back?" Nemu looked at Li Ziming without any expression on her face. This made Li Ziming secretly laugh. Sometimes, having no expression really was quite useful. After all, without an expression, it was much easier to hide things.

"Yes. These are the materials on Si that I collected today..." Li Ziming handed Nemu a thick stack of documents. "Then I'll go make dinner first..."

"Mm." Nemu nodded, but Li Ziming's Observation Haki clearly told him that all her muscles had tensed up. It was obvious that Nemu was extremely nervous.

Dinner was ready soon. Li Ziming sent Edward straight to bed, then tidied up and prepared to sleep as well.

"Um..." Nemu looked like she wanted to say something to Li Ziming but couldn't bring herself to speak.

"Is something wrong?" Li Ziming shrugged and looked at Nemu with amusement.

"Um, there's something I want to talk to you about..." As Nemu looked at Li Ziming, she seemed to realize that he probably already knew something.

"Sure. Do you want something to drink? I can brew some coffee..." Li Ziming looked at Nemu.

"Mm. I'll make some snacks..." Nemu also decided to distract herself by making something.

The two of them sat in silence. Neither Nemu nor Li Ziming said anything, but their moods were completely different. Nemu was somewhat nervous, while Li Ziming was quite relaxed. Before long, however, the food was ready in their hands.

"All done..." Li Ziming looked at the food on the table with satisfaction. "Heh, actually, I prefer drinking alcohol..." Li Ziming decided to speak first. After all, there were still some things he needed Nemu's help with.

"Hmm?" Nemu's expression shifted slightly.
