Gear Third

"Get out of my way!!!" Luffy roared as he charged straight ahead.

"What a racket." A figure appeared in Luffy's line of sight. "You're alone? Looks like your companions have all been held back by my colleagues."

"Hmph, they'll definitely catch up. You pigeon keeper!" Luffy stared seriously at Lucci. His instincts told him that this guy was an extremely formidable enemy.

"Such blind confidence. I really don't understand what you people are thinking." Lucci spoke helplessly. "Wouldn't it be better to obediently go and die?"

"No way!" Luffy punched at Lucci.

"It's useless." Lucci was faster than Blueno, with even fewer unnecessary movements. He appeared beside Luffy. "Shigan: Yellow Lotus!" The afterimages of Lucci's fingers struck Luffy like a blooming lotus, and the tremendous force sent Luffy flying.

"Give up. Let me kill you obediently. With your strength, you can't defeat me." Lucci slowly walked toward Luffy.

"Gum-Gum..." Luffy's voice rang out. "Jet Pistol!" A sudden punch sent Lucci flying.

"What was that?" At that instant, Lucci felt that even his Tekkai had failed to block it. "Was it smoking?"

"Shift gears, Gear Second!" Luffy used Gear Second again.

"You can't maintain that state for very long, can you?" Lucci shook his head and transformed into a half-human, half-beast form. "I'll finish you off like this."

"I have to send you flying." Luffy stared seriously at Lucci. "Jet Whip!" Luffy instantly appeared beside Lucci, his leg cracking toward him like a whip. Lucci couldn't even block that kick with Tekkai.

"Hmph, that's it?" Lucci spoke disdainfully. "My strength isn't something you can imagine." Lucci instantly used Soru to appear beside Luffy. "Shigan!"
