"Hello, you're Li Ziming, right?" Shanks sized Li Ziming up. "Heh, you look quite a bit like me."
"I think instead of making sarcastic remarks, you should have your ship's doctor treat me." Li Ziming twitched his mouth. He was still injured.
"You were acting pretty tough just now, kid." Golden Lion looked at Li Ziming with amusement. "Why are you chickening out now?"
"This isn't chickening out. If you don't treat me soon, I'll have no choice but to keep Whitebeard company." Cold sweat covered Li Ziming's forehead. "You two heartless bastards, enough already!"
"Alright, alright, go on. We were only joking." Shanks patted Li Ziming on the shoulder, then watched him leave. "At first, I thought this kid was ambitious, but he's actually a pretty good person."
"Heh, when did a kid from Roger's crew become so sentimental? You entrusted Roger's will to that Straw Hat kid, so you should trust his eye for people." Golden Lion looked at Shanks, once again recalling his battles with Roger. "Tch, just looking at you reminds me of that bastard Roger!"
"Hah, Captain was quite scared back then. We nearly fell into your hands, sir." Shanks, too, seemed caught up in memories of the past.
"You've done far better than that Joker with the ugly nose. But after this incident, that Ghost will enter the world's sight as well." Golden Lion shook his head. "The Ghosts from back then have grown this much already."
"The world always has to move forward. The older generation opens up a new era; at most, we're just another remnant of the new era." Shanks looked at Whitebeard's body. "Who knows, one day we may become the next ones lying here."
"You really do see things clearly, kid." Golden Lion looked at Shanks and suddenly understood.
