Acquaintance

"Uncle?" Li Ziming looked at the newcomer in surprise as Issho slowly sheathed his sword.

"Kid, if you keep acting like this, you'll suffer a huge loss sooner or later." Issho shook his head. "When dealing with evil people, you have to wipe them out completely."

"Uncle, Heaven cherishes life. Human nature is fundamentally good. Whether someone is good or evil, they all have the right to live—or perhaps I shouldn't call it a right?" Li Ziming shook his head, disagreeing with Issho's view. It was far too absolute. "You know, someone who might be evil in the eyes of the whole world could be a good father. Even the most vicious criminal has a shining side to him. So why shouldn't we give them a chance?"

"That kind of chance only harms other people." Issho shook his head. With a flash of his blade, both the cage holding Li Ziming and the ropes binding him were cut apart.

"Thanks, Uncle." Li Ziming stretched his body, which felt somewhat stiff.

"Sigh, kid, your ideals are too lofty. Sometimes, the world is very realistic." Issho shook his head, then turned to leave.

"Where are you going, Uncle?" Li Ziming hurriedly asked.

"Wherever my feet take me." Issho's answer had the air of a wandering rogue as he continued forward without looking back.

"But you're walking toward the sea," Li Ziming muttered softly. Issho immediately stopped.

"Ahem, ahem. I was merely testing you, to see whether you harbored concern and compassion for a disabled person like me. Ahem, you've passed my test. Oh, weren't you planning to travel with me? Then let's go." Issho wore a solemn expression, as though he truly had been testing Li Ziming.

Li Ziming rolled his eyes at him. Not that Issho could see it anyway. Besides,
