"Uncle, are you really planning to join the Marines?" Li Ziming looked at Issho curiously. "But how are you planning to join?"
"Before I came here, I heard that the Marines were preparing to recruit from across the New World in order to restore their combat strength. I think this is an opportunity." Issho stroked his sword cane. "I wonder how far I'll be able to rise within the Marines."
"Ha, Uncle, you're not weak. But I'm curious—are we heading over there now?" Li Ziming frowned. "Are we going to the nearest Marine Branch?"
"Yeah. It seems registration can be done at any Marine Branch. I'm not sure what comes after that, but I doubt it'll be so simple." Issho frowned as well. "There'll probably be strength tests or something. If everyone really had to start from the bottom as ordinary soldiers, I imagine many people wouldn't be willing to do so."
"That's true. Could the Marines be planning some kind of martial arts tournament for everyone to compete in?" Li Ziming suddenly felt as if he were entering the World Martial Arts Tournament.
"Possibly. Directly testing one's strength is the best method, after all." Issho nodded. "And I'm fairly confident in my own strength."
"True, and..." Li Ziming looked at his right shoulder. "Actually, I'd rather have the Marines fit me with a mechanical arm."
"A mechanical arm?" Issho shook his head. "With the Marines' resources, they probably can make something like that. But I'm not very interested in such things. Perhaps I've simply grown used to living with a disability."
"Ha, Uncle, having eyes or not makes no difference for you, right?" Li Ziming teased. "But I think my right hand is pretty important."
