Lin Yuan did not see him out. There was no need.

What he had thought would be nothing more than old classmates catching up after years apart had ultimately turned into this, ending on bad terms.

Lin Yuan did not think he was in the wrong. It was his money; whether to lend it or not was his decision.

Besides, lending money was easy, but getting it back was hard. These days, the ones asking for money back were the grandsons, while the ones repaying it acted like grandfathers.

Lin Yuan got up and glanced at the sky. It was already nearly eleven.

"Lin Yuan, how could your classmate act like that?" Gu Lianyin had stayed by Lin Yuan's side the entire time. She had seen his classmate ask to borrow money, then pull a face and guilt-trip him when he could not get it.

Honestly, she really disliked people like that.

Lin Yuan sighed. "It can't be helped. A lot of people are like that. If I can avoid dealing with them, I will."

The two of them then went inside.

The house covered less than a hundred square meters and had three rooms and a living room. One room was occupied by Lin Xianglan, one was the bathroom, and the last one was Lin Yuan's room.

"We're sleeping in the same room tonight?" After Lin Yuan pulled Gu Lianyin inside, she stared at the room with only one bed, her eyes full of question marks.

How were they supposed to sleep?

Lin Yuan pointed at the floor. "I'll sleep on the floor."

"Oh." Gu Lianyin nodded.

It was not as though she had never stayed in the same room as Lin Yuan
