Smashing the Stone Table with One Punch

Three choices.

Only the second and third could even be considered options.

Lin Yuan considered which one to choose.

The third option was to state his feelings for Gu Lianyin to Gu Tianlong without setting any conditions or accepting any.

At a glance, that option was utterly useless.

Anyone could say sweet things.

But Gu Tianlong might not listen. Words alone proved nothing.

It would be better to let him name his conditions. It was not as if Lin Yuan could not fulfill them.

The system would foot the bill for everything anyway.

Gu Tianlong decided to satisfy Lin Yuan and state his conditions.

After thinking for a moment, he really did name a condition that Lin Yuan would ordinarily be unable to meet.

"If you truly want to be with Lianyin, it is not impossible. But only if you can smash this stone table with one punch."

He pointed at the stone table before them.

It weighed at least two hundred pounds, was exceptionally thick, and was made of hard granite.

Even striking it with a sledgehammer would not necessarily break it in one blow.

Yet Lin Yuan had to smash it with a single punch.

This was clearly tormenting him. The meaning was obvious: Gu Tianlong did not want him to be with Gu Lianyin.

As for why, only Gu Tianlong himself knew.

Gu Hai and his wife did not dare speak, sighing inwardly.

Qin Liyun herself did not care about the background of the boyfriend her daughter chose, as long as he treated her well.

As for her agreement with Lin Yuan, she had merely wanted to see what kind of young man he was. If he was unsuitable, she would still make him separate from her daughter.

Now, however, she was fairly satisfied with Lin Yuan.
