Wesley!
The male lead of the movie Assassin Alliance, he was cheerful, optimistic, sincere toward others, humble and polite—a striving young man with lofty ambitions. So, despite losing his mother at a young age and having no idea whose bodily fluids he had inherited, he still grew up healthy and happy.
Society was the best university. It taught Wesley many profound lessons, one of which was that if you did not have a good father, you had to learn to be strong!
After entering society, Wesley worked hard and finally earned himself a respectable job through his own efforts. Though the pay was a little low, he had his own desk and could call himself a white-collar elite to outsiders.
Wesley had a group of dedicated coworkers who often dumped their tedious work on him, helping him mature quickly and become the office record holder for burning CDs.
He had a shrewd and capable female supervisor. Though she was a three-hundred-pound fat woman who always tried every possible way to dock his pay, without her, Wesley would never have realized how ugly the face of capitalism could be.
He had a sexy, beautiful girlfriend. Though she was sharp-tongued, looked down on Wesley for being poor, and was never faithful in love, constantly putting green hats on him. But everything had two sides. Without this girlfriend who never turned anyone away, Wesley could not have kept his healthy color as consistently as he did.
Oh, right. Wesley also had a loyal and righteous best friend. Whenever his female supervisor assigned him unpaid overtime, his best friend would step forward and visit his girlfriend to comfort her, providing personal service through rain or shine.
It was precisely because of this best friend that Wesley had not been dumped and turned into a single dog who bought toilet paper every day.
Some people exhausted every ounce of strength they had just by staying alive!
Wesley understood that deeply, so he continued stubbornly muddling through life, even though he knew his girlfriend was actually shaped like his best friend.
A green hat was no big deal. Those who had never seen the grasslands could never know that heaven was actually green.
The above was purely filler... The above was a plot transition, a simple introduction to Wesley...
Fine, the above was complete nonsense. This was blatantly padding the word count!
Cheerful and optimistic did not exist. Wesley was just a useless bum waiting to die, and his purpose in living was to kill time while waiting for death.
Until just now, when a cold and alluring older beauty appeared before him. Wesley swore that compared to this fiercely endowed older beauty, his girlfriend was practically from the countryside.
Fire Fox!
A core member of the Brotherhood. Because Cross kept killing Brotherhood members and no one was his match, Fire Fox had been ordered to bring Wesley back and train him into a top assassin.
In this world, only Wesley could kill Cross!
Cross had been watching over his son all along. After discovering Fire Fox's whereabouts, he rushed over immediately. Unfortunately, he was still one step too late. Fire Fox had made contact with Wesley first and gained his trust.
That was only natural. A scruffy middle-aged man or a sexy, gorgeous older beauty—choose one...
That was a free point!
Under the night sky, both sides of the road were brightly lit, and the nightlife of the big city was about to begin.
A powerful engine roar approached from afar. Then a red bolt of lightning flashed past, whipping up a restless gale.
The Dodge Viper tore down the road. Fire Fox sat in the driver's seat with a cold expression, both hands controlling the wheel as she pulled off one thrilling lane change and overtake after another.
The speeding red supercar was fast enough to make people scream. Wesley was pinned against the passenger seat by the crushing force pushing him backward. The shrieking horn, the streaking lights and shadows outside the window—having never experienced anything like this, Wesley's heart pounded uncontrollably.
"God, could you slow down a little? He can't possibly catch up!" Wesley's mouth was dry, terrified that he would die from speeding in the next second.
"No, he's right behind us."
Wesley glanced into the rearview mirror. Cross's box truck was clinging tightly behind them and getting closer and closer. Remembering that lunatic who pulled a gun and killed people at the slightest disagreement, Wesley's heart went cold, and every hair on his body stood on end.
"Then please go even faster!"
Fire Fox's expression shifted slightly. She had already pushed the car to its maximum speed, but somehow, a beat-up delivery truck was keeping pace with the supercar and even looked ready to overtake it.
Inside the box truck, Cross gripped the door handle with one hand and held a pistol in the other, his eyes fixed on the Dodge Viper ahead. Russell's driving really isn't bad. We still haven't lost them.
However, when he caught sight of Russell from the corner of his eye, his heart nearly leaped out of his chest.
"FCUK!! What are you doing?"
"Adjusting the radio!" Russell replied matter-of-factly. He held the steering wheel with one hand while using his free hand to fiddle with the dial.
"I know you're adjusting the radio, but can you pick a different time? Watch the road when you're driving and keep both hands on the wheel!!!"
Cross was on the verge of collapse. At this speed, even if he were driving, he would not dare claim he could avoid flipping over. Yet Russell still had the mood to adjust the radio.
"Relax, my car won't flip." After switching through several stations and finding nothing but traffic reports, Russell slapped the car radio in dissatisfaction, completely ignoring the blurred vehicles screaming past beside them.
Cross regretted it deeply. If he had known Russell drove without using the brakes, he would never have dragged him along. Cross had great confidence in his own driving skills, but when it came to Russell, all he could do was sneer.
Double D's performance last night had made it hard for him to trust Russell. He did not want to entrust his life to someone so unreliable.
Then something even more unreliable happened. After taking a high-G drifting turn, Russell started chatting away with him.
"You seem very nervous. Who's that young man in the sports car? I bet the two of you are very close."
"Focus on driving. The rest is none of your business!" Cross said darkly. He did not want Russell to know too much.
"Let me guess. You don't look alike, but judging by your ages, it isn't hard to tell. You're so nervous that you don't even dare fire your gun. That young man is your... distant cousin, right?"
Cross: "..."
Cross said nothing. He decisively pressed the Magnum Little Eagle II against Russell's temple, and Russell wisely chose to shut up.
More than ten seconds later, pounding heavy metal music blared from the speakers. Russell gripped the steering wheel with both hands, an excited smile appearing on his face as his eyes shone brightly.
Perhaps it was an illusion, but Cross felt the beat-up car beneath him accelerate even faster.
Amid the pounding music, Russell shouted, "I bet he's your son. There's no use denying it. You know, my father was an assassin too. I know exactly what you're thinking, because I've been through it all myself."
Cross's face remained stern. As if venting his frustration, he leaned out the window and fired three shots at the red sports car ahead. The bullets struck the headlights and rear window. Fire Fox raised her gun and returned fire, but distracted by driving, she hit nothing.
