At the order, rifles fired in a ragged volley. But the bullets struck the old man like fireworks. The battered armor he wore stopped every shot.

On the road ahead, a monster suddenly burst from the earth, as big as a bull!

Its body was silver-white, but its blades were pitch-black...

In almost the blink of an eye, the road ahead and the fields behind were packed with Earthfall Beasts.

The Earthfall Beasts moved like the wind, leaping into the air!

They charged onto military vehicles and into the soldiers' ranks...

Genaf roared, "Kill!"

Gunfire erupted, but the bullets could not knock even a single scale from the Earthfall Beasts.

Boom!

More than a dozen rockets launched, striking seven or eight Earthfall Beasts squarely. The blasts sent soldiers reeling, yet the beasts that took direct hits merely tumbled before racing on, still fast as lightning...

In the blink of an eye, more than half the three thousand soldiers were lost!

"Retreat! Retreat! Retreat!" Genaf gave the order three times.

His own military vehicle whipped around and sped away.
