The factory's equipment had recently developed problems. For now, manual labor was the only way to keep things running.

So they had rounded up a large group of Subspecies and made them carry the materials past it.

First, Subspecies lives were considered cheap. Second, they could endure the exposure longer; Superior Humans could not withstand it at all.

And the Subspecies were doing it just to earn enough to eat.
