Land of Demons, the Shrine Maiden, a Nostalgic Scent

Three days later, Kakashi and the others arrived at the residence of the shrine maiden of the Land of Demons.

"Are you the ninja from Konoha Shinobi Village in the Fire Country?"

At the entrance to the residence, a man dressed in green and wearing a tall hat stopped Kakashi and the others to question them.

"That's us."

Kakashi took out the documents Tsunade had given him and handed them over.

The man carefully looked through them.

After a long while, he nodded. "You may go in. The shrine maiden is inside."

Kakashi and the others nodded and slowly walked in.

After entering, they saw a woman sitting quietly in the room. She wore lavish clothes, had white hair, and pale off-white eyes.

After giving some instructions to the guard beside her, she slowly turned her gaze toward Kakashi and the others.

"You are the ninja assigned to escort me to the Land of Swamps, correct?"

Kakashi replied, "Yes, that's us."

"May I ask, Lady Shrine Maiden, when do we depart?"

"We leave immediately."

The shrine maiden, Shion, spoke flatly.

"We're leaving now?"

Naruto looked somewhat dissatisfied. "We traveled a long way to get here and haven't rested properly the whole way. Now that we're here, we have to leave again?"

"Naruto."

Kakashi spoke up to stop him.

"What? I'm just telling the truth."

"Are you Naruto?"

The shrine maiden Shion looked at the blond-haired boy and asked.

"Yeah, that's me."

Naruto smiled.

Shion frowned and said coldly, "Why did you still come here? I already told Konoha Shinobi Village that you might die, didn't I?"

"It's only a possibility. I, Naruto, won't die so easily. Besides, I came to save you!"

"Save me? My prophecies are one hundred percent accurate. They have never been wrong. You should save yourself."
