"What?!"
"You want to kill Uncle Otsutsuki?!"
Code's eyes widened.
Then what did that make him?
An accomplice in killing Uncle Otsutsuki?
"Put me down! I don't want to kill Uncle Otsutsuki! Why do you want to kill him?! You can't kill him!"
"If I don't kill him, he'll kill me and the people I cherish."
Kanami spoke calmly.
He couldn't possibly give up on killing Ōtsutsuki Isshiki just because of some kid. He wasn't an idiot.

Code clenched his fists and lowered his head.

Kanami said blandly.
"..."
Code opened his mouth but didn't know what to say.
"I'm sorry... I still think he's a good person. I can't be someone's lackey and kill him..."
Code's eyes reddened.
He had always believed that bad people deserved to die, but this bad person seemed to be a good person to him.
His worldview had been overturned in an instant.
"He's a fucking good person? Did he take you out of the slums for your sake?"
Kanami couldn't help swearing. Tolerating a child's idiotic words for this long was already his limit.
"If he wanted to save you, would he have left you behind and flown off on his own?"
"Look at your left palm. Do you know what that is?"
"What is it?"
Code looked at his left palm.
"This is Karma. Your Uncle
