In Marvel, Working for the System
"Get lost, redhead!" Sunny impatiently waved him off, as if he were in a bad mood over losing a brother.
After Suzaku left, Sunny darkened his face and called everyone over.
"Raphael wants to go straight, and we have nothing to say about that. The problem is, I think that redhead was full of lies."
Sunny looked around, his gaze passing over each of his subordinates, especially those who had been close to Raphael.
"The redhead said they had saved this money with great difficulty, but take a look!"
Sunny grabbed the envelope and flung the cash into the air. "Bullshit. They're all brand-new hundred-Yuan bills. Does this look like hard-earned savings? Raphael must have found a way to get rich, but she doesn't want to bring along us old brothers. This is betrayal—naked betrayal of her brothers and the gang."
Sunny's supporters chimed in. "Boss, tell us what to do."
Sunny sneered. "Raphael was heartless first, so don't blame us for being ruthless. Bob, take some men and invite Raphael over. Maybe she'll be willing to share her secret to getting rich. And her sister is a real beauty. Bring her too."
Bob, one of Sunny's men, had a ferocious skull tattooed on his arm. He chuckled twice, beckoned with his hand, and several members followed behind him, swaggering like they owned the place.
Bang!
"Ouch!"
"Uh..."
"Hiss..."
The moment Bob stepped over the threshold, he was sent flying back and crashed into the people behind him, leaving them sprawled in every direction.
"Why can't you people... just quit while you're ahead?"
A figure slowly emerged from the shadows.
Light and shadow flickered across him.
A strange gleam shone in his eyes.
It was Suzaku, who had never truly left. Trust these people...?
