"Nancy, what's wrong?" Geralt found her in the kitchen when he arrived.
She seemed distracted.
"It's nothing. I just..." Nancy began.
Then she looked up into Geralt's clear eyes, and the excuse died on her lips.
"I'm sorry," Nancy said.
"You're smart. I think you know there are things about me I haven't told you. It isn't because I don't trust you. I just don't know how to say them. So don't apologize. Just... if you ever want to talk, I'd like to be the first to listen," Geralt said.
"Oh, listen to the charmer," George said dryly. "How many girls have you fooled?"

He really was being modest.
