At that moment, strange scenes were unfolding in every corner of the world.

In a vast lake, a dark shadow flashed past. It was a fish over two meters long, with a pitch-black crystal growing from its head. Despite its small size, it chased aquatic beasts dozens of meters long, lunging forward now and then to tear mouthfuls from them. Blood churned through the water!

Cruelty gleamed in the Demon Fish's eyes. Look closer, though, and there was intelligence there too. It was unbelievable. Unless a beast was exceptionally powerful, there was no way it could possess such keen intelligence, much less intelligence rivaling a human's!

Boom!

The creature seemed to have eaten its fill. Its sleek, two-meter body burst from the water, and the enormous fins on either side beat like wings. Hovering high in the air, it gazed at the sprawling human buildings on the horizon and gave a cold smile.

"Heh. Soon. Very soon! Lord Baal's might will descend upon the entire world!"

"The Black Sun is coming!"

Elsewhere, in a small, backward town.

A homeless child lay on the ground, groaning in pain after several other children had beaten him up.

There was nothing strange about it. No matter how developed this world became, poverty still existed, and so did homeless children. Even with social assistance, they could not escape being bullied.

The boy, fourteen or fifteen years old, lay there without moving. Passersby shook their heads helplessly. These homeless children fought every day, and no one could be bothered to help anymore.

One second... two seconds...

At last, the
