I honestly didn't understand why other authors got support whenever they posted extra updates, but whenever Sixue did, the subscription numbers went whoosh, straight down.

Just looking at them gave me a headache.

Four updates really weren't easy. I truly hoped a few more people would support me. It had been a month, and everyone had seen how hard Sixue worked. I'd never missed an update or fallen behind, and I'd even posted extra updates now and then. I just hoped everyone was happy—and that a couple more people would support Sixue.
