Two Toads

Inside Tobitake Tonbo's central home.

An open space as large as two football fields.

A huge platform rose in the center, with wedding-related items scattered across it. Two enormous toads wore best man suits and stood there without moving.

"Big Brother Gamatatsu, I never thought us toads could be best men too. Hehe!" Gamakichi chuckled.

Gamatatsu declared domineeringly, "If it weren't for the bugs, I would never do something this embarrassing. This is way too embarrassing. Best man? Only unmarried toads can be best men. Damn it."

"They're so tiny. Why did they ask us to be best men?"

Gamakichi looked innocently at the bustling crowd preparing for the wedding, somewhat confused.

Gamatatsu snorted. "Obviously because the toads of Mount Myoboku are more imposing. They need us to hold up the scene."

"Whatever. I heard the Mount Myoboku Meal invented by Captain Tonbo has attracted lots of toads to Konoha through Distant Body Water, all just to eat that meal."

Slurp!

Gamakichi licked his lips. He had heard about that meal long ago, but he had never tried it.

They said every toad who had eaten it called it the most delicious bugs they had ever tasted.

Gamatatsu's throat bobbed at those words as well.

After all this time, Captain Tonbo had finally developed food for toads, and he was craving it too.

He wanted the wedding to end quickly so he could enjoy some delicious toad cuisine.

"My lords, Lord Tonbo instructed us to prepare desserts for you before the wedding begins, so you won't go hungry."
