Naruto addressed the group now lined up before him.
"Water Spirit? What's that?"
"Yeah, I've never even heard of it."
"Maybe it's another kind of training?"
"Could it be like in manga and novels, where there's a group of water spirits beneath this sea?"
The new students all spoke up.
Clearly, though, the name of this training was highly deceptive, and none of them gave it much further thought.
Still, some students knew better. Looking at the surrounding sea and recalling how their parents had described it, along with that particular training, terror appeared on their faces.

"Next, the teachers will demonstrate the Water Spirit experience. You'll be experiencing it often from now on."
Naruto spoke at last.
Boruto and the others listened intently.

Moegi looked just like a Water Spirit, standing on her surfboard and soaring high between the towering deep-sea waves.
The smile on her face made it clear that she was enjoying herself.
And not just a little. Whenever she turned back to look at the students, she seemed even happier.
