Shui Juanyun's gaze flickered. The reason he had followed Long Xuan into the Metal Path instead of following Water Elder into the Fire Path was entirely because he wanted to act personally. That way, Heavenly Water would fall into his own hands.

Even he coveted Heavenly Water's power greatly.

If he joined forces with Water Elder to deal with Long Xuan, how would they divide Heavenly Water? It simply could not be split evenly. In the end, they would very likely fall out over an unequal division of the spoils.

Even if he intended to form a team, would it not be better to team up with Water Elder, someone from his own clan?
