Li Ziran leaned quietly against the spatial wall, letting the serpent's tail be crushed to powder in the Deep Sea.
The water pressure here had reached a level he could no longer withstand. He silently studied what lay before him: a village populated entirely by Moon Elves.
The crude fences still retained the style of fifty years ago, but these elves with bloodstained hands showed no trace of propriety. Filthy bloodstains were everywhere. Only the little girl in the iron cage was clean.
It was as though she were the entire village's only sacred object.
The place was quiet, as though it had never been disturbed.
Li Ziran did not interfere any further. He simply left a mark here and continued onward.
Buzz!
Space seemed to have been struck by a heavy hammer, humming and trembling incessantly.
This was vibration caused by the vortex, nothing unusual. The closer he came to its center, the more violent the vibrations became.
He was heading in the right direction.
Now he needed to press forward. Following the network map he had obtained, he could weave through this dense layer of Space Fragments and enter the entangled region formed by Spatial Cores.
Although he still had a long way to go before reaching the very center of the Devouring Serpent, the situation remained entirely under control.
Li Ziran was a little excited. This was the goal he had worked so hard to pursue. The joy of soon seeing the Devouring Serpent drove all thoughts of these beautiful races trapped by the Shackles Curse out of his mind.
Although Jones's Shackles Curse was somewhat unusual, it had little to do with him. More precisely, by now he had learned something of the methods Jones used against him.
He had no time to worry about Jones.
