Hane's Invitation

"Your master told you to sign it!" Matatabi tilted her head and withdrew the pressure she had unleashed as a Tailed Beast.

"What's your master's name?"

Subaru Natsuki felt the weight lift from his chest. He wiped the cold sweat from his forehead.

"Uchiha Hane! Is something wrong, little beast?"

Matatabi and the other Tailed Beasts froze.

"Master! Hahaha! Meow! You should've said so! You're one of us!"

Matatabi bounced around on Subaru Natsuki's shoulder, even patting his head with her blue paw pad.

Her sudden cheerfulness left Subaru Natsuki at a loss.

But he quickly came to his senses and looked at the approaching demon beasts.

"Hey, little beast! How about helping me deal with the problem right in front of us?"

Matatabi raised her head haughtily and swept her gaze around.

"You may be my master's apprentice, but watch your tone. My name is Matatabi.

I'm a mighty Tailed Beast. How dare a bunch of small fry act up in front of us!"

With that, Matatabi jumped off Subaru Natsuki's shoulder and joined the other Tailed Beasts.

"Everyone, looks like this is a new world. What do you say we stretch our legs?"

"If you want to get on your master's good side, just say so. It's not like we won't help!"

"Meow! Nine-Tails, you can't just say that out loud! I'm a proud little kitty!"

"Hahahaha!"

The other Tailed Beasts burst out laughing at Two-Tails' bared teeth.

"Matatabi, you're a Tailed Beast. Since when did you become a cat?"

As Nine-Tails teased her, something happened in an instant.

Subaru Natsuki, Rem, and Ram's eyes widened.

The summoning Formation Art no longer held any cute little beasts. In their place stood nine enormous monsters radiating terrifying power.

Nine roars rang out together. A whirlwind swept through the forest,
