Metal Bat rushed out of the hospital and stared at the enormous tree rising into the distant sky, fury blazing in his eyes.
"Damn it! How dare you ruin my peaceful time with my sister? I'm going to smash you to pieces!"
Just then, the phone in his pocket began vibrating urgently.
Metal Bat answered it as he ran.
"Hello! What is it?"
"Metal Bat, where are you right now?"
"I'm at Fujie Hospital in A-City!"
"That's perfect. Head southwest toward the outskirts of A-City immediately. A Dragon-level Monster may have appeared there. Tatsumaki is already on her way to assist. The two of you must work together!"
Metal Bat looked up to get his bearings and quickly realized the headquarters was sending him exactly where he was headed.
"So it was a Monster! Damn it! Why did it have to show up here?"
Beneath the God Tree, Makomo stood as though turned to stone, staring blankly at the towering tree that had suddenly burst from the ground. Time seemed to stand still. Only after a long while did the daze leave her eyes and she slowly come to her senses.
