At Julian's roar, thick bolts of lightning plunged from the sky and struck the black-robed figures on the head.

They managed only a single scream before collapsing to the ground, smoke rising from their bodies.
Kenneth, who had been playing a game of chase with the three giant gray wolves, sensed his chance.

In all likelihood, the town's administrators handled their daily business there.

Kenneth continued issuing orders:
"Julian, Paul, Hugo, Rones, head outside the town at once and set up a Four Symbols Barrier!"
"Remember, no one leaves this town without my permission!"
The four men thumped their chests. "We'll get it done, my lord!"
With that, they split up and flew toward the four sides of the town.
