Ajak, Dead!

Ajak's expression shifted. She turned, raised her rifle, and aimed at the direction of the roar.

"Hoo-hoo-roo~ Woo~"

Accompanied by a series of short, heavy breaths, a ferocious beastly shadow slowly walked out from inside the cave.

Its build was taller and larger than an Alaskan brown bear, and its body was covered with long, black root-like tentacles.

That agape mouth was filled with arrow-like sharp teeth, and the white vapor spewing from its nostrils instantly melted the accumulated snow beneath it.

"Deviants!"

Ajak recognized the origin of these monsters at a glance; they were the formidable enemies jointly wiped out by the Eternals several hundred years ago.

This Deviant abruptly lifted its neck and let out a roar-like growl.

"Roar!!!"

From the cave behind, Deviants with slightly smaller builds instantly darted out.

These Deviants stared fixedly at Ajak, carrying a heavy sense of oppression as they formed a semicircle and slowly closed in on her.

"Bang!"

Ajak pulled the trigger without hesitation toward the largest Deviant leader.

The buckshot instantly cut through the air and sank into the Deviant leader's left shoulder.

The powerful impact caused its body to jerk backward.

The Deviant leader's two strong hind legs exerted sudden force, regaining its footing.

It looked coldly at Ajak and let out an attacking roar.

"Roar!"

Ajak stepped back, rapidly chambered another round, and raised her gun to aim at the Deviant leader once more.

"Bang!"

The second round of buckshot flew toward the Deviant leader's head.

The Deviant leader used all four limbs to leap abruptly, and the buckshot flew past its right leg.

Instead, it had the good fortune of striking the head of a Deviant that was following closely right behind the leader.

Thump!

This Deviant's head exploded on the spot.

It let out a whimper
