The cultivators in the hall spoke up one after another. None of them wanted Source Rings spreading through their spheres of influence.
The alternative was to keep their Life Origin Lands hidden so thoroughly that no one could find them. Unless those lands were extremely remote, that was all but impossible.
They could order everyone under their authority not to use them, but that would only offend the people behind the Source Rings. It would not quite make them enemies.
They were not yet willing to confront the Dao Origin Divine Hall head-on over this. They merely wanted more benefits, or the freedom to control the Source Rings themselves.
"Still, looked at another way, the spread of Source Rings has plenty of benefits, as long as we don't make enemies of the Human Race."
The Saint Ghost Race cultivator who spoke had a deathly pale face and silver scales growing along his arms.
"Your Saint Ghost Race lives in a wild, untamed star region with no one but your own people. Of course you don't mind. There are plenty of humans in our territory," another cultivator said faintly.
He left the rest unsaid, but his meaning was clear.
Once Source Rings became widespread there, their grip on their territories would weaken. Whether they could still keep the Human Race in check in the more distant future was another matter.
"There's no denying that long-term use of a Source Ring greatly benefits cultivation. It can even condense Source Stones on its own and gather resources. And the Emperor's Tower offers considerable benefits."
As the others argued over one another, the Spirit Race elder interjected from time to time. He seemed deeply dissatisfied with the spread of Source Rings; that was why so many races had gathered here.
