Su Lin's group always entered and left the public area through the same spot. As "neighbors," they could hardly help growing curious about the veteran merchants in this vast Reincarnation Space.
The burly man rubbed his broad nose, turned, and pulled two sheets of paper from beneath the counter. He tossed them in front of Su Lin and said disdainfully, "This is the bounty on my squad from the district square. And this is the wanted notice I got while running missions in Night City."
"Cool." Su Lin nodded and ran a finger over the weapons on the stall. "Comrade's Hammer, Skippy, Archangel... Forget it. Pack up everything here."
The burly man froze, then moved with hands as fast as the fellow selling flying flatbreads next door. His whole body blurred and shook like a glitching frame. In less than two seconds, he had packed everything.
"557 points. Let's round it to 560! Thanks for your business!!!"
"550. Take it or I walk."
Su Lin's face remained blank as he sent a trade request from his Watch.
Without a moment's hesitation, the burly man accepted the trade on his Watch and threw in more than a dozen crates of ammunition.
"Boss, want to take a look at the Sandevistan models?" the burly man asked, rubbing his hands together. "A Type 4 is only 1,500 points, and a Type 5 is 1,700. Implantation included, guaranteed no rejection."
"The prices in your shop are all over the place," Su Lin said, raising an eyebrow.
The whole pile in his hands had cost just over 500 points.
The burly man spread his hands. "That's how tech products are. Either they're dirt cheap
