Golden light blazed across the sky. Light spread from every crease of the withered giant tree, and every branch and shoot, long since dead, now shone with splendor.

Kaguya Houraisan read the text in a flat voice: "There must be a Light God!"
"Welcome, players, to Simulated Universe 4.0: Wrath of the Sun King." Su Lin's Light God Avatar sat upon the throne and asked, "It has been updated to 4.0, right?"
"Isn't it already at 9.0? It's too bright. Turn it down." Elaina adjusted the sunglasses perched on her nose.
"I mean Mr. Light's Simulated Universe," Su Lin corrected her.
So far, not one of the Simulated Universes had actually simulated a universe. Yet player approval stood at one hundred percent!
Su Lin's real body emerged from behind the throne. He dragged out a white plastic food-stall chair, then produced a Mr. Light doll and stuffed a katana into its hand.
"Not bad."
Now anyone climbing the tree from the front would see the Light God on his throne, while anyone climbing from the back would find the Power God, who could double-jump.
"Um, Su Lin, the doll isn't ideal." Elaina tugged at his sleeve, bit her thumb lightly, and murmured, "I suggest replacing it with Light—"
"PASS."
"I haven't even finished speaking?!"
"PASS!!"

Elaina let go and turned away, looking thoroughly displeased.

Su Lin took out his diary and added another entry to Klein's personal page.
"It's essentially an amplifier. It can cover the entire planet," Elaina said. "I repaired it as you asked, but once you put the Light God here, he won't be able to move."
