[Honestly, it felt like getting recommended made no difference at all. Favorites were still only going up by a few each day—three or four, seven or eight—and they still hadn't even reached three hundred... o(〒﹏〒)o. So depressing. I might as well post at irregular times; whenever I finish writing, I'll release a chapter. As for a massive update after it goes premium, that'll depend on how many chapters I can write in a day. I'll post however many I write.]
Following Zhou Deming's car, Zhang Jun inspected the first two orchards one after another, but he wasn't particularly satisfied with either of them.
The first was a navel orange orchard. It covered around forty hectares, and its annual output was decent enough, but it was too far from Chasing Ranch. Driving there took nearly ten hours; he would have to take a high-speed train to the station first, then transfer to another vehicle to reach the orchard.
Zhang Jun felt that constantly running back and forth would be exhausting and inconvenient to manage. Besides, most of the racehorses under his name did not like oranges, so he merely kept it as an alternative.
The second was a mixed farm. It was quite close, only a two- or three-hour drive away, and covered thirty hectares. Aside from fruit trees, it raised some chickens and ducks and grew some vegetables. However, the asking price was rather high, making it poor value overall. Zhang Jun did not express any interest and planned to look at the third orchard instead.
Sitting in Zhou Deming's car and watching the roads grow increasingly familiar, Zhang Jun could not help asking.
"Uncle Zhou, isn't this the road to Chasing Ranch? Why are we heading this way?"
