The Zombie Universe.
About a year had passed since Lin Feng last left.
Through the efforts of Spider-Man, Wasp, and the others, Stark Industries had distributed the serum across the world.
The Zombie World had been saved, but the outcome left people unsure whether to laugh or cry.
The Zombie Virus had been wiped out completely. Once the infected Zombies lost the virus, they collapsed on their own and died without anyone having to lift a finger.
A few who had only just turned got incredibly lucky. Spider-Man or some other kindhearted person found them, and prompt treatment saved their lives.
But there weren't many of them.
There was no helping it. Most Zombies were missing a piece here or there. Without the Zombie Virus, they were almost certain to die.
Even more disheartening, over ninety percent of the world's population had been infected with the Zombie Virus.
So... although humanity had defeated the Zombie Virus, terrifyingly few people had survived.
The survivors took to the streets. After a brief silence, they erupted in joy at having lived through the apocalypse.
That joy didn't last long. The frighteningly empty cities soon silenced them.
There were simply too few people left—not even one in ten.
Under those circumstances, clearing out the cities alone would take ages. No one could be blamed for letting things slide.
Fortunately, this world still had the New Avengers, led by Spider-Man. It had the technology Tony had left behind, his general-purpose automated suits of armor, and kind people who still held on to hope.
But the problem remained: there was an enormous amount of work to do, and the number of people left...
That wasn't something they could fix just by trying harder.
Even if everyone started having children now, it would be at least eighteen
