Rapid Progress and a Conversation with the Ancient One

Once Lin Feng had a rough idea of what was holding him back from learning magic, he started trying different approaches.

As it turned out, the Ancient One had been absolutely right.

Lin Feng focused his attention on the process of opening a Portal, and before long, he succeeded.

Golden particles swirled through the air, forming a circular Portal.

On the other side lay the place Lin Feng had just connected to with his own power.

At last, his success brought a smile to his face.

So it wasn't that I had no talent for magic. I'd just been going about it the wrong way...

The Ancient One smiled with relief as well.

But when she looked at where Lin Feng had opened the Portal, she frowned.

The aura of darkness on the other side was incredibly dense.

"I've been meaning to ask. What place are you connected to?"

Even after all the books the Ancient One had read, she had never encountered a dark creature as bizarre as that horned donkey head with a skeletal body.

Lin Feng scratched his head. He wasn't entirely sure himself.

"I don't really know what that place is either. I learned its coordinates by chance, but I've never gone there to look..."

Lin Feng wasn't lying.

The coordinates had somehow come to him when he was wondering where a succubus-like creature such as Xixing might have come from.

He simply had never stepped into that space.

As for why he had chosen it when opening the Portal, reaching that place was even harder than opening one to another universe...
