"David, what's the situation?"
Aboard a Traverser Spaceship, the bounty hunters' leader questioned his subordinate at the controls.
"Everything's going smoothly. The probe is making a jump."
"After the jump, it'll reach low orbit around Blue Star. Once it's in position, it'll begin full surveillance."
David answered respectfully.
The leader nodded in satisfaction, then asked, "What about the other bounty hunters?"
David tapped at the console.
A dense cluster of tiny lights appeared on the screen.
"The Hunters, the Fishmen, the Treasure Seekers, and nine other teams. Forty-seven ships in all, hiding throughout this star system."
"And more jump signatures keep appearing."
"The closest to us is the Stealth Team."
Every light on David's screen represented a spaceship.
The leader's face darkened. He stroked his carefully groomed beard.
More and more bounty hunters were arriving in this star system.
In less than half a day, forty-seven ships had crowded in, and more were still jumping over.
