Lin Feng remained in that state for who knew how long before a startled cry woke him.
"Lin Feng!"
The shrill female voice rang out, and Lin Feng's soul abruptly opened his eyes.
Susan was home?
Lin Feng wobbled back into his body.
Only then did he realize that evening had already arrived.
Time had passed so quickly. To him, it had felt like only around five minutes.
Susan rushed over and grabbed Lin Feng's face and shoulders, pinching him all over.
"What are you doing? What are you doing?!"
Lin Feng looked utterly baffled.
"What are you pinching me for..."
Only after feeling the warmth of his flesh-and-blood body did Susan withdraw her hands, the panic on her face gradually easing.
"I thought you were dead..."
"Dead?!!"
Lin Feng rolled his eyes. He wanted to laugh, but he could not quite manage it.
It seemed his earlier out-of-body experience had given Susan the wrong idea.
Still, he could understand. Anyone who saw someone's soul leave their body would assume they had died.
Back then, Christine had gotten quite a fright from Strange's soul too, hadn't she?
"Don't worry. It's just a small skill." Lin Feng shrugged, signaling that Susan did not need to worry.
What a joke. Even if his physical body really died, his soul could still do whatever it wanted!
Once she had confirmed that Lin Feng was truly fine, Susan patted her chest in relief and picked up the things she had dropped on the floor earlier—ingredients for dinner.
"Are you done dealing with things in the universe?" Susan asked.
She still remembered what Lin Feng had said before.
Lin Feng nodded. "Yeah. Things have wrapped up for the time being. I'll be staying on Blue Star for a while."
At that, joy she could not
