The Hulk's Existence

Lu Qi quickly led the ninjas to wipe out all the enemies. Looking at this dimension, he knew it would eventually merge directly with his own, adding depth to it for him to slowly excavate. That was also why the system's excavation speed was so fast.

If they had run away, they had run away. They could not come back anyway.

Lu Qi tossed all the enemy equipment together and looked regretfully at the obviously extraordinary gear.

After all, equipment that allowed living beings to survive in Dark Energy without being assimilated definitely was not ordinary.

However, the Dark Energy in Lu Qi's Dark Realm was far purer than that of other dark dimensions. These pieces of equipment would be assimilated as soon as they were transported over, unless the ninjas kept holding them.

Lu Qi had also tried having the ninjas fight with guns, but the moment a bullet left the barrel within the Dark Realm, it was assimilated and disappeared.

The equipment he had just tested worked the same way. He had even tried a damaged cannon, but it too was assimilated.

Lu Qi shook his head, intending to let this equipment merge into the Shadow World along with this dimension.

Mordo walked over. "Why not put them in Kamar-Taj? Pull them out whenever we need them?"

After thinking it over, Lu Qi felt that it was indeed feasible, so he had the Shadow Ninjas drag them to Kamar-Taj.

As long as Shadow Ninjas held them, the equipment would not be assimilated by Dark Energy. The notebook that recorded coordinates had been preserved that way before.

Watching the Shadow Ninjas haul pile after pile of magical equipment into Kamar-Taj, Mordo was quite pleased as well.

Lu Qi would not be using them normally, so they could use the equipment to study magic from another world. Mordo was rather interested in that pew-pew long-range magic.

After returning to his own dimension, Lu Qi commanded the Shadow World to directly devour the opposing dimension and digest it into a part of itself. Seeing the excavatable energy rise to over one million, Lu Qi clenched his fist excitedly. He could strengthen himself again now!

Lu Qi returned to the Material World with Mordo. Seeing a group of mages happily gathered around a pile of unknown magical equipment, researching it, he felt somewhat helpless.

The Ancient One suddenly appeared beside Lu Qi.

"How does it feel? Working with mages?"

"Not bad." Lu Qi smiled. That was the truth. Mordo and the others might have only blocked a few cannon shots today, but there had not been many of them.

The Mage Corps he had ambushed had numbered over a hundred, yet their effect had not been as strong as that of Mordo's dozen or so people. Once more Kamar-Taj mages entered the Shadow World in the future, combined with magic acquired from other worlds, these close-combat mages could become true mages. Both sides could grow stronger. It was truly a triple win—Lu Qi won twice.

"But Kamar-Taj might become my backyard in the future," Lu Qi said to the Ancient One.

"When you become an existence like Dormammu in the future, would you still care about a tiny Kamar-Taj? That might actually benefit Kamar-Taj even more."

"As long as you do not endanger Earth." The Ancient One looked at him. Lu Qi shook his head. By then, he would probably be busy building the Shadow World. Why would he care about this place?

Still, that was a very distant goal.

"Have you finished adapting all that stuff?"

"Not yet." The Ancient One rubbed her forehead in distress.

"The Sorcerers Supreme of every generation collected over five thousand spells. That originally made me very happy, but this time it has given me quite a headache."

"There are probably still more than three thousand seven hundred spells left to adapt."

The Ancient One made a rough calculation.

"Then you have a lot of work ahead of you." Lu Qi sighed at the sheer number of spells in Kamar-Taj.

The Ancient One shook her head helplessly. Among all of Kamar-Taj, she had the deepest understanding of magic, so she was the only one who could do this.

"Enough talk. I need to get back to work. I have to finish these things before Stephen comes here."

After saying that, the Ancient One vanished. Lu Qi marveled at how elusive the big shots were, greeted Mordo, and went home.

Looking at the newly added Troll Soldiers, Lu Qi checked their energy excavation and recovery speeds. They were actually equivalent to fifty Ninja Soldiers. In other words, all troop types could be converted into Ninja Soldiers for calculation. In total, he had nearly 1,360 points per minute in excavation speed and 1,360 points in recovery speed.

That was after Lu Qi had replenished the number of Ninja Soldiers to one thousand.

After calculating that he would have to wait until the next day to level up, Lu Qi started slacking off.

After waking up the next day, Lu Qi looked at the slightly-more-than-five-hundred-thousand energy and leveled up immediately.

His constitution doubled, and his excavation and recovery speeds doubled as well. That was enough.

Seeing that this dimension still had eight hundred thousand excavatable energy left, Lu Qi decided to use it to buy some powerful troops first. Ensuring victory in battles against other dark dimensions was what mattered most.

The system also popped up a notification. Lu Qi opened it and immediately found it absurd!

He now needed five thousand Ninja Soldiers to strengthen himself again!

Although he knew growth would become harder and harder later on, Lu Qi had not expected that he would need five thousand Ninja Soldiers for the very next upgrade.

He sighed, lamenting how hard life was, but there was nothing Lu Qi could do except keep going.

He called Tony and asked where Pepper was so he could send Shadow Ninjas over. Now that the Shadow Ninjas' strength had doubled, perhaps those AIM biohumans would not even be able to get close to Pepper.

After making a trip to Pepper's place and leaving behind ten Shadow Ninjas, Lu Qi went to Stark's home to take a few photos for updating his blog. While he was there, he also checked how Tony Stark's phone was coming along.

"Lu Qi, take a look. Are you satisfied with this phone?" Tony Stark asked, handing him a phone.

Lu Qi was somewhat shocked by the thing, whose appearance was similar to phones from around 2020 in his previous life. As expected of Tony Stark—he had made it so quickly.

"Can the production cost be brought down?" After trying it out and finding that it ran even more smoothly than phones from his previous life, Lu Qi could not help asking curiously.

"This is a special edition. The civilian version will definitely be much worse, and the cost can be reduced."

"The marketing department says this phone will definitely be a huge hit. They say it might even make more money than commercial reactors in the future. I used your great idea, so I was thinking of giving you some Stark Group shares."

Tony spoke seriously to Lu Qi.

"Why do I get the feeling you're settling your affairs? You're just giving away shares like that?" Lu Qi said helplessly.

"Don't underestimate your idea. The marketing department says the whole world will not be able to refuse this phone." Tony crossed his arms, as though what he said made perfect sense.

If the marketing department could predict a product's prospects that accurately, there would not be any failed companies in the world.

Lu Qi thought for a moment. "Why not just establish a new company specifically to manufacture this phone? Give me some shares in that. You should keep the Stark Group shares for yourself."

Tony nodded as well and called Pepper right in front of him to tell her about it.

"Tony, if there's ever something you really can't handle, you have to tell me, okay?" Lu Qi said seriously to Tony.

It had nothing to do with the plot. It was simply because Tony was his best friend now.

"How about I leave two ninjas with you for research? I recently acquired a new troop type."

"What new troop type?" Tony asked curiously.

Lu Qi simply took Tony to the beach outside and summoned a Troll Soldier.

"My God, that guy is huge!" Tony was not even half as tall as it, and its arm was thicker than his waist.

"Troll Soldier, go lift that." Lu Qi pointed at a reef. The Troll Soldier walked over and effortlessly lifted the reef, which was around ten cubic meters in size.

"My God, that guy definitely has twenty tons of strength!" Tony roughly estimated as he stared at the Troll Soldier.

"More or less. Want one as a bodyguard? You'd look incredibly cool walking around with one!" Lu Qi draped an arm over Tony's shoulder, but Tony refused.

"I believe the power of technology can easily achieve that. My armor can do it too. I'm just a little shocked." Tony turned to Lu Qi.

"It gives me the same feeling as watching videos of the Hulk. Speaking of which, General Ross recently ordered two ultrasonic weapons from me. He kept pestering me for them, so I just gave him some old stock. He's probably going after the Hulk again."

"Oh, really?" It seemed the Hulk's storyline was about to begin as well. Lu Qi decided to have the ninjas monitor Doctor Samuel carefully when he got back. It would be best if The Leader and Abomination never appeared, or the damage they caused in New York would be far too great.

As for the plot? To hell with it. As long as he was strong enough, he could take care of the Chitauri and Thanos by himself. Besides, the Ancient One would not die. When the time came, he could bring her along for a fight. Who was afraid of whom?

As for Ross, he was the one taking action. As long as no ordinary people were killed or injured, Lu Qi could not be bothered to care.

"Call me if you need anything."

After hanging out with Tony for a while, Lu Qi could only take the Troll Soldier home.
