Unknown Colossal Beast

With Tony's matter settled for the time being, Lu Qi recalled Tony saying that General Ross had asked him for some ultrasonic weapons. Ross really had nothing better to do than keep looking for trouble with Banner.

Speaking of Banner, Lu Qi felt that Banner would definitely be a contender for Marvel's unluckiest superhero.

He had originally been a super genius with seven doctoral degrees and an IQ no lower than Tony's, as well as a beautiful girlfriend. Then one blast of gamma radiation turned him into a big green brute.

After accidentally killing several people, he had been hunted ever since. General Ross, his former father-in-law, was now one of the most eager people pursuing him.

He had then drifted from country to country, never enjoying more than a few peaceful days.

He had finally settled down in Brazil, only to be discovered by General Ross because of an accident. He fled all the way back to the United States, only to find that he really had gone green.

Although his girlfriend returned to his side, he still could not make a move because of the Hulk.

In the end, he even had to clean up his father-in-law's mess, leave his girlfriend again, and get nothing out of it.

It was not until Fury decided to restart the Avengers Initiative and stopped those hunting Banner that Banner's life did not become even more miserable afterward.

When it came to misery, perhaps only The Punisher and a few others could compete with Banner.

Still, the Hulk was indeed powerful. Even with Troll Soldiers, Lu Qi did not really want to wade into this mess. But remembering the commotion when the Hulk fought Abomination, as well as Abomination slaughtering ordinary people, Lu Qi decided to rescue those civilians and kill Abomination in the end.

In the original plot, Abomination had nearly been strangled to death by Hulk, but his girlfriend had been nearby at the time, so Hulk had not finished him off.

Honestly, Lu Qi did not know why that woman had stopped Hulk. Either way, he would kill Abomination when the time came, so those little daredevils would not set their sights on Abomination.

Lu Qi shook his head. Thinking of that famous saying, "With great power comes great responsibility," he felt that his way of thinking had become somewhat superhero-like.

Still, it did not feel bad. After glancing at the little flowers he had raised on the balcony, Lu Qi sent two Shadow Ninjas to monitor Doctor Samuel, lest fighting break out and he still failed to realize the plot had begun.

Though he would probably have to wait quite a while. Banner had begged his way to the United States, after all, and that must have taken considerable time.

With some time on his hands, Lu Qi opened the system and discovered that the more than one million energy was nearly all mined out. He decided to go on a shopping spree.

Judging from the results of the previous dimension war and his battle with Andrews, Lu Qi had gained a rough understanding of the strength of Small Dimensions. He planned to increase the number of his subordinates.

Leaving aside Ninja Soldiers for now, he did not have enough Dark Power to buy 5,000 Ninja Soldiers and upgrade to the next level. Besides, judging by the pattern in the numbers, the next upgrade would probably require five million energy. That was no small amount; he would have to conquer five or six Small Dimensions to get that much.

It would be better to raise his subordinates' strength first before attacking other dimensions.

After considering the various unit types of the Shadow Legion, Lu Qi found that each type had glaring weaknesses when deployed alone. It would be better to organize them into squads.

He would expand the Ninja Soldiers in squad formations: fifty Ninja Soldiers, five Blade Soldiers, and one Troll Soldier per squad. The Troll Soldier would handle tough assaults, the Ninja Soldiers would provide defense, and the Blade Soldiers would deal with unexpected situations.

Having decided on the ratio, Lu Qi began his shopping spree. He raised the number of Ninja Soldiers to 1,500, Blade Soldiers to 150, and Troll Soldiers to 30. This formed thirty squads and left Lu Qi with only a little over one hundred thousand energy. That was reserved for the Mage Corps. Their numbers had now tripled, and battles consumed more energy, but Lu Qi's energy recovery rate was not slow either, at 6,000 points per second, so there was no need to save too much.

With the forces expanded, this Dark Dimension was nearly mined dry. Lu Qi took out his phone and sent Mordo a message, telling him to bring the mages into the Shadow World and prepare to attack the next Dark Dimension.

Lu Qi had a Ninja Soldier bring him the notebook, then chose a set of coordinates.

Mordo also arrived with the expanded Mage Corps. They were now carrying some equipment that did not quite match their usual style, probably obtained from yesterday's dimension.

After signaling for them to get ready, Lu Qi connected to the selected dimension.

The system indicated that enemies existed in the target dimension. When Lu Qi poked his head through, he found the other side filled with colossal bird-like Beasts.

Yet he did not spot anything resembling a Dimension Lord, and these colossal Beasts all seemed to be in a sleeping state.

What was this? What was going on?

Lu Qi had no idea what was happening, so he simply sent several squads of Shadow Ninjas over to test whether they could kill the colossal Beasts. In the end, more than a dozen Troll Soldiers could not even lift one of their wings!

Time to run. Lu Qi had all the squads retreat.

This was hilarious. A whole bunch of Troll Soldiers could not even lift the enemy, so if they fought, would one stomp not flatten them all?

He would probably need tens of millions of energy before he could fight something like this. Yet these were still only minor monsters; who knew where the real boss was?

There were over a hundred of these minor monsters alone, and he had no idea what the Dimension Lord of this dimension was like. It would be better to leave immediately. If he disturbed the boss, perhaps one breath from it would wipe him out.

Looking at the size of this dimension, Lu Qi estimated that it was nearly at the level of a Medium Dimension. However, its Dimension Lord apparently had no idea what it was doing and had not actively plundered other dimensions. Otherwise, it would likely already have become a mid-level dimension.

Feeling that the other side's power completely exceeded the scope of a Low-level Dimension, Lu Qi immediately controlled his own dimension to disconnect from it, then wrote a huge "Danger" at those coordinates.

Still, those creatures looked strangely familiar. He felt as though he had seen them somewhere before.

He did not know why he had that illusion. Something that huge should have left a deep impression if he had ever seen it.

Lu Qi selected the next dimension, and this connection felt much more normal, about the same as the dimension from the previous battle. Lu Qi sent out every Shadow Squad while he stayed behind with Mordo and the others to guard their base.

He watched his squads eliminate a large portion of the enemy. Then the enemy's Dimension Lord appeared and destroyed squad after squad. However, the Shadow Ninjas on Lu Qi's side could revive endlessly, directly exhausting all of the enemy's energy. In the end, the Dimension Lord fled in disgrace with only one squad left under his command.

Although the Shadow Army's current strength could not keep the enemy Dimension Lord from escaping, it could still drive him away. Lu Qi was happy to take it easy, planning to expand the Shadow Squads to fifty and then leave the Shadow Army to conquer Small Dimensions on its own.

After having the mage squads, who had merely tagged along and killed a few minor monsters, carry the spoils back, Lu Qi returned to his little home as well.

This battle had lasted several hours. It took a long time, but it was safe and stable.

With the system continuing to mine, Lu Qi did not know what to do next. He had spent nearly a month playing games at home, and now he no longer wanted to play them.

Looking out at the sun through the window, Lu Qi felt that he had not gone out for a stroll in a long time.

After tidying himself up, Lu Qi decided to go shopping for a while. He would also send out a few Shadow Ninjas to monitor the surroundings and see whether there were any agents around. Perhaps he could even scam Fury into handing over the park model.

Taking his camera, Lu Qi stepped out of his home and began wandering the streets.
