In Sal's shocked gaze, Lu Qi swiped his hand, and a golden portal appeared beside him.

The portal was transparent, allowing Sal to see the scenery on the other side—a place that clearly wasn't Xandar.

"The Kree seem to be planning something against my planet. I'm going back."

Sal hesitated. "Do you need our hel—"

Before he could finish, Lu Qi hurried over.

The moment he stepped through the portal, a beam cannon skimmed past Lu Qi and shot straight toward Earth, which lay ahead of him.

Just as Lu Qi reacted and prepared to block the beam cannon, a magic circle unfolded before it and stopped the attack.

Lu Qi turned around and saw The Ancient One holding her fan. With a casual wave, she sent an Arclight slicing through a nearby warship, cleaving it in half.

The Ancient One wasn't fighting alone, either. Galactus was beside her, fending off the warships' attacks.

Several beam cannons fired at Galactus, but he caught them all with one hand. The originally devastating beams instantly merged in his grasp into a highly concentrated ball of energy.

Looking at the energy ball in his hand, Galactus had no desire to taste it. He simply swung his hand and blasted it toward the warships that had attacked him.

A beam several times wider than the warships' main cannons instantly pierced across the battlefield. Several unlucky warships were blasted in half at the waist.

After doing all that, Galactus turned toward Lu Qi as casually as someone swatting a few mosquitoes.

"You're finally back. These guys are seriously annoying."

"Definitely. At first, it was kind of interesting. I could finally fight something that wasn't a Dimensional Demon God. But these warships are much weaker than I expected. What a letdown."
