After charging for a brief moment, a beam cannon blasted out from the gunport of the vicious-looking warship.

Like an arrow of light, the beam cannon tore straight through one of the warships surrounding Star-Lord and the others. This sudden change made the leaders of the Giant Beast Hunting Group instantly change expression, while considerably easing Star-Lord's situation.

"Who's attacking us?!"

With one warship destroyed, even a hunting group of their caliber could not bear the loss. They immediately roared furiously over the public channel.

Not long after, a somewhat hoarse voice answered them.

"Giant Beast Hunting Group? What kind of trash is that?"

The other party spat disdainfully before continuing, "Listen, kid. We're Ravagers. The prey you're trying to capture is my target. You'd better hand them over right now!"

Ravagers? How had they provoked those lunatics?

The Ravagers were not those low-level space pirates commonly found throughout the universe. They were an alliance made up of elite pirates, with a hundred factions and tremendous combined strength.

If this warship belonged to the Ravagers, then attacking it might bring the Ravager faction behind them down upon their heads.

The leader of the Giant Beast Hunting Group looked at the prey that was about to be finished off and asked his second-in-command, "How many ships do they have?"

"I've scanned several times. There's only this one ship."
