Ego's Excuses

Silver Surfer and Star-Lord followed Lu Qi, and the three of them went straight outside the spaceship to wait. The others remained inside the ship, watching the situation.

By now, everyone could clearly see a planet with a human face flying toward them from the distance.

"That thing doesn't look like anything good. So this is your father's planet? Does that mean he has an army?"

Rocket tossed out a jab from the side, and Yondu answered for Star-Lord. "Ego doesn't have an army. He's alone. But he's incredibly powerful. From the looks of it, he can even move an entire planet."

"Looks like you still don't know him well enough."

Lu Qi shook his head and explained to Yondu, "It's not that he has the power to move a planet. He is that planet, so naturally, he can move however he wants."

"A living planet... does something that terrifying really exist in this universe?"

Rocket found it hard to imagine what a planet with its own consciousness would be like. If a planet had awareness, would it allow life to exist on its surface?

No, judging by the current situation, just the fact that this planet could run around meant it probably didn't have any advanced life living on it.

"It's actually not that bad. I've seen powerful races that used planets as cradles to breed their own kind. They were among the strongest beings in the universe. Ego doesn't even come close to them."

Lu Qi snarked. In the movies, Ego had even called himself a Celestial. He was probably trying to piggyback off the reputation of the Celestials.

While they chatted heatedly over here, Ego spotted the people waiting for him.

The two spaceships were nothing worth mentioning, but he had no choice but to take notice
