A hand suddenly landed on Star-Lord's shoulder, startling him into whipping around. Only then did he realize Lu Qi had somehow appeared behind him.
Glancing at the shattered planet in the distance, Star-Lord asked Lu Qi curiously, "How did you grow that huge just now?"
Lu Qi looked at him and said with a laugh, "What? Feeling inferior?"
"As if!"
Star-Lord immediately got the dirty joke and retorted like the seasoned veteran he was.
Lu Qi shrugged, looking at Star-Lord as though nothing had happened.
"That was just one of my abilities. What about you? Your biological father died. How do you feel?"
"Feel? I'm fine, I guess. You guys told me so much beforehand that I was mentally prepared. I didn't really feel much for him anyway."
Star-Lord answered indifferently, and Lu Qi pursed his lips.
Who asked about that? I meant whether his death affected your powers.
Forget it. The guy was standing in space and still alive and well, so he was obviously fine.
Lu Qi looked over at Yondu. He was sitting in his ship, gazing at the wreckage of Ego Planet with an exceptionally happy smile.
Star-Lord turned and saw Yondu's expression as well. He and Lu Qi exchanged a glance, then both shrugged in unspoken agreement.
As far as Yondu was concerned, all he could say about Ego's death was that it served him right.
