The Altered Janet

With Lu Qi's reminder, Pym and the others snapped awake as if from a dream and hurriedly began preparing to leave.

Doctor Pym, Hope, and Scott walked toward the vehicle capable of operating within the Quantum Realm. After exchanging glances, Doctor Pym spoke first. "The vehicle can only hold two people. With Janet included, only one person can go."

"Then it definitely can't be you."

Hope said, "We don't know what dangers are in the Quantum Realm. You should stay outside and oversee things."

"And you can't go either! You don't know much about the Quantum Realm!"

Doctor Pym said sternly. As he spoke, he and Hope both turned to look at Scott.

"Fine. I knew this job would end up falling on me, but watching you two show concern for each other before tossing it onto me without hesitation really breaks my heart."

Hope rolled her eyes at Scott's theatrical act.

"This is your chance to make an impression on my mom. Didn't you notice she seemed to have a problem with you earlier?"

All right, Ava had been wearing her suit earlier, and her voice had been distorted by the special treatment in her mask. It had successfully made Hope and the others think she had an issue with Scott.

Scott nodded. As he changed into the specialized suit, he said helplessly, "I just hope she doesn't knock me out and throw me into the Quantum Realm after we meet."

Scott said that, but he quickly put on the suit designed for traveling through the Quantum Realm.

He knew the situation was urgent. Without wasting a second, he climbed into the vehicle.

"Start the Quantum Tunnel, now!"

Seeing that Scott was ready, Doctor Pym hurriedly turned and shouted at Tony and the others standing by at the console.
