Yu Xian flew all the way back to the sky above the mountain that Gong Qian had blasted apart outside the battlefield.

On the ground, Zhang Shou and Gong Qian were glaring at each other. Yu Xian descended from the sky and looked at the two curiously.

"Salty Fish, you're finally back. Talk some sense into her—she still wants to go make things worse," Zhang Shou immediately said when he saw Yu Xian return.

Gong Qian said indignantly, "What do you mean, make things worse? I won't get close. I just want to see if I can smash open the cage from outside."

"That is an option." Yu Xian nodded, then looked at Zhang Shou to see what he thought.

Zhang Shou frowned. "What if she gets poisoned again?"

Yesterday had absolutely been the most exhausting day of his life, even more exhausting than when he had died in the vegetable market.

Healing Touch had drained especially fast while detoxifying Gong Qian. He had needed to keep replenishing it, and that one afternoon had kept him busier than an entire day.

Although Demos was currently locked in close combat with Jin Dajun and could not get away, Zhang Shou had climbed to a high point earlier and seen Demos attack from range with its tail. He really did not want to detoxify Gong Qian again.

"You both have a point, but I have an idea we might be able to try." Yu Xian smiled faintly.

On his way back, he had already simulated many uses for his new ability in his mind. The simplest was traveling between different Bubbles himself, but there were actually many more subtle applications that could be used in battle.

For example, a throwing knife could be fired into one Bubble, then teleported into another Bubble, changing the angle of attack.

He could even use multiple Bubbles in conjunction with the silver threads formed by Blood of Silver to create an elusive Guillotine.

Yu Xian extended his hand, and Bubbles rapidly formed one after another. He then moved them into the air, arranging them in a ring around Demos's cage.

He created another Bubble, looked at Gong Qian, and smiled. "Now pick up a rock and throw it into the Bubble with all your strength."

Though confused, Gong Qian still picked up a rock and hurled it hard at the Bubble.

Boom!

A sonic boom rang out. The rock instantly flew into the Bubble, followed by a tremendous crash in the distance.

Zhang Shou and Gong Qian both froze, then hurried to high ground and looked toward the source of the sound. Inside the cage created by Demos, there was now a huge crater in the ground.

"It's our first time, so we're not very accurate yet. Let's try again!" Yu Xian said with a smile.

Zhang Shou said in astonishment, "Salty Fish, your Bubbles can do that too? That's incredible."

"Spatial abilities are rare even across the whole country, and an ability like his has never been seen before. If headquarters finds out, his ranking will definitely rise again," Gong Qian said, nodding.

She had had nothing to do after getting up that morning, so she had checked the information on the Demon-Slaying Squad's new members on her phone. That was why she knew a little about both Yu Xian and Zhang Shou.

Only captains and above had access to that information.

Next, Yu Xian and Gong Qian continued working together, constantly throwing rocks into the cage. At first, eight out of every ten shots missed, but gradually, nine out of ten could hit Demos.

However, Demos had no attention to spare for such interference.

Its battle with Jin Dajun had already reached a fever pitch, and it had no extra energy to defend against Gong Qian's attacks.

Of course, the main reason was that Gong Qian was only throwing rocks. No matter how great her strength was, the material of the rocks themselves limited the power of her attacks. At most, the rocks caused Demos a little pain; they could not truly injure it.

"What a pity. I should have prepared some throwing weapons." Gong Qian picked up a rock and spoke with some disappointment.

Yu Xian picked up a rock and held it in his palm. Suddenly, he flipped his hand over. The rock disappeared from his right hand and appeared in his left instead. He practiced over and over, smiling as he said, "No rush. I have another idea, but I need more practice first."

He had discovered that the teleportation ability of the new Bubbles could adjust an object's position according to his thoughts.

For instance, the first rock Gong Qian had thrown had appeared at the exact center of the Bubble. Since Demos had not been within the Bubble's targeted range, it had missed.

Later, Yu Xian deliberately adjusted it. The rocks no longer appeared from the center—they could shift within the Bubble and emerge from any position inside it.

That adjustment gave him an idea, but he needed to become more proficient before he could be confident in it.

The two continued coordinating their attacks on Demos. After half an hour of practice, Yu Xian could make rocks appear anywhere inside a Bubble, with a one-hundred-percent hit rate.

"All right, everything is ready!"

Yu Xian dispersed the two Bubbles in his hands, then created a large number of tiny Bubbles. They were only as large as Gong Qian's fist, and he controlled them into Demos's cage.

The countless Bubbles floated inside the cage. Demos noticed them, but with Jin Dajun tying it down, it had no spare energy to destroy them. Besides, it did not believe these Bubbles could threaten it.

"Captain Gong Qian, step into the Bubble ahead and punch with focus. Leave the rest to me!" Yu Xian said to Gong Qian.

Gong Qian had been throwing rocks into the Bubble in front of her the whole time, so the moment Yu Xian spoke, she immediately understood what he intended to do.

"Fine. I'll punch hard!" Gong Qian smiled and stepped into the Bubble.

Inside the demon cage, Jin Dajun punched Demos in the face. Demos responded with a punch to Jin Dajun's abdomen, and just as it tried to whip Jin Dajun with its tail, a Bubble suddenly pressed against it.

Boom!

A small fist suddenly shot out of the tiny Bubble and smashed heavily into Demos's cheek.

Demos took a punch to the cheek, and its eyes immediately rolled back. It knew that painful sensation all too well.

That little brat wasn't dead?

Before it could react, another Bubble pressed against it, and Gong Qian's fist slammed into its chin.

The first punch had already left Demos slightly dazed. The second sent it flying outright. Another Bubble approached in midair, and Gong Qian punched it down to the ground.

A Bubble had already been waiting on the ground, and another punch blasted it back into the air.

Crack!

Under the impact of ten thousand tons of force, cracks immediately spread across Demos's spine.

Then it took another punch to the top of the head. Its skull split open on the spot with a crisp sound that only a good head could make.

Everything happened incredibly fast. In the blink of an eye, Demos was like a punching bag, sent flying back and forth by Yu Xian and Gong Qian's coordination. It had no chance to counterattack, not even a chance to think.

Knowing that Demos's tail contained deadly poison, the Bubbles deliberately avoided it and only attacked places like Demos's head, abdomen, and arms.

Gong Qian's strength was simply too great. Demos was beaten senseless by her monstrous power, its eyes rolling back and its brain buzzing until it completely lost the ability to think.

About a minute later, Demos's enormous body crashed to the ground.

"Perfect chance!"

Seeing this, Jin Dajun immediately charged forward.

He sat on Demos and unleashed a flurry of punches on its abdomen, making its body convulse wildly as blood continuously poured from its mouth.

Yet neither Gong Qian nor Jin Dajun relaxed. Instead, they continued their relentless assault.

Both were determined not to stop until they had pounded Demos into minced meat. Every punch was heavier than the last, every punch more impassioned than the last.
