Kaido of the Hundred Beasts

An invisible force field erupted from Dawn, dark red lightning spreading through it like a spiderweb.

At such close range, Kaido was caught off guard and took the full force of it. He grunted as it drove him back dozens of meters, gouging a long trench in the ground.

He wiped away the blood and looked toward the bottom of the crater. For the first time, disbelief appeared in his dragon eyes.

Dawn was swaying as he rose to his feet.

But that was not what concerned Kaido. He had already learned how much punishment this brat could take.

What concerned him was that force field—a Gravity Field infused with Conqueror's Haki.

Infusing something as intangible and formless as a force field with Conqueror's Haki demanded an almost unimaginable level of skill.

At the start of the fight, the brat had only been able to use Conqueror's Haki Infusion in its crudest form.

But now...

Kaido suddenly remembered what Dawn had said before the fight.

"I've hit a snag in my training and was hoping a senior like you could help clear it up."

At the time, he had dismissed it as empty boasting.

But now...

The brat really was using him as a whetstone.

And in the middle of the fight, he had truly broken through his bottleneck and grasped a more advanced form of Conqueror's Haki Infusion!

Dawn grinned at the mountain-like figure across from him.

"Thank you for the lesson, Master Kaido."

Kaido was so furious he laughed. He stamped his foot and charged.

"Worororo! If you like my lessons so much, brat, come back with me and become an All-Star!"

He was a pirate who had ruled the seas for decades. Though the young man's rate of progress had shocked him, he soon regained his supremely
