Dawn Island, courtyard.
A gentle breeze passed through, stirring the neatly arranged plants in the courtyard with soft rustling sounds.
Dawn lay in Monet's soft embrace, resting with his eyes closed.
"A little more pressure on the left."
Monet chuckled softly and adjusted the pressure of her fingers. Her pale green hair cascaded down like a waterfall, brushing across Dawn's cheek.
"You seem especially tired today."
Dawn opened his eyes, the pale sky reflected in his pupils.
"Yeah. I hadn't expected Loki to improve so much."
Over the past few years, he had traveled to Elbaf at intervals to spar with either Loki, prince of the Giant Tribe, or Harald. Just over ten minutes ago, he had returned from several days of fierce battle with Loki, and only then did his exhaustion show.
Suddenly, a patter of hurried footsteps broke the courtyard's tranquility. Sugar ran in wearing a white dress, her fruit-green short hair slightly disheveled and her little face full of resentment. With both hands on her hips, she stopped not far from Dawn and stomped hard.
"Brother-in-law! I can't wait anymore! Why won't you let me eat that fruit?"
Monet immediately glared at her younger sister, signaling sternly for her to leave.
"Sugar, don't disturb your brother-in-law while he rests."
Sugar selectively ignored her sister's warning. She ran straight to Dawn, grabbed his arm, and began shaking it.
"Please, brother-in-law! I want to eat the Hobby-Hobby Fruit right now! Right now, immediately! They've all eaten Devil Fruits, and now I'm the only one without powers."
Dawn sat up, leaving an empty space in Monet's embrace. He lifted Sugar onto his lap, his fingers running through her fruit-green short hair.
"Fine. I promise you. You can eat the Hobby-Hobby Fruit."
