Gion, Run!

Gion's eyes were icy as Kompira, blazing with peach-colored light, cleaved down with precision. Her slash collided with the pillar of lightning, and the explosion illuminated her taut face.

Some of the lightning's residual force splashed onto her, bursting into tiny electric sparks. But the Armament Haki armor covering her entire body kept them firmly at bay.

Her blade momentum did not relent. With a twist of her wrist, Kompira traced a perfect arc through the explosive firelight. A fierce Flying Slash shot through the sky full of electric arcs, too fast for the eye to follow, and struck at Enel!

This time, Enel seemed unable to evade in time. The slash grazed his left shoulder, sending up a spray of bright red blood. The instant it left his body, the remaining lightning's intense heat vaporized it into a bloody mist.

"Ah, that hurts... Now this is getting interesting."

Enel grinned, but there was not the slightest trace of pain in his eyes. Instead, they gleamed with excitement. Without pausing, he raised an arm and pointed it toward the sky. A terrifying pillar of lightning over a hundred meters wide descended from above.

Gion flicked her wrist and swept her right hand upward in a backhand motion. The movement flowed as though she had practiced it countless times, Kompira's blade drawing a perfect arc through the air.

A massive slash hundreds of meters long burst from the blade and tore through the air. Though launched later, it arrived first and split the descending lightning pillar straight down the middle!

The severed lightning lost its cohesion and burst apart in midair into countless snake-like electric arcs, crackling deafeningly.

The second and third lightning pillars followed close behind.
