His thick right arm was fully coated in Armament Haki Hardening. He forcibly blasted apart the fierce blade aura and drove a solid punch into Weevil's chest and abdomen.
"Boom!"
Weevil's body suddenly arched backward from the blow. The clothes on his back exploded apart, and his wild yellow hair flew high into the air.
Ring after ring of white air bursts tore through his hair, howling across the deck of the Marine warship and extending all the way to the sea beyond, hammering the already rolling surface into even greater turmoil.
Even after being struck in the abdomen at close range, Weevil still gripped his Naginata tightly and slashed backward at Zephyr's neck.
Facing the ink-black blade right before him, Zephyr's expression remained utterly calm. His entire right arm swiftly drew back before shooting out like lightning again, precisely smashing into the incoming blade.
"Clang!"
His massive fist sent Weevil's swinging Naginata flying away with unstoppable force. Zephyr pressed forward again and drove a vicious elbow into Weevil's chest.
Weevil had yet to steady himself and could not react at all before being struck once more. He and his Naginata were sent flying backward. Blood sprayed from between his teeth toward the sky, like a crimson rainstorm.
"So, it was the Ultimate Hostage Tactic again?"
Hidden nearby, Dawn watched the scene thoughtfully.
No matter how he considered it, the gap in strength between the two sides was simply too great. For Weevil to have cut off Zephyr's arm in the original timeline, he could only have used this T0-level tactic that had made Garp, Oden, and Gaban suffer greatly.
People were not made of grass or wood; how could they be without feelings? Unless someone was as hard-hearted as Sakazuki, most people would have their own attachments in life.
